Sprint USB EVDO and Mac OS X

Since the recent Mac OS X 10.4.8 update I can use the Sprint USB Novatel Merlin U720 EVDO dongle on an Intel MacBook but it does not work with the Cisco VPN Client Version 4.9.01 (0030). In addition, it is unfortunate that a PC is still required to perform firmware updates on the U720.

Hi, I'm encountering this precise situation. OSX, Cisco VPN client, Sprint U720 EVDO. Were you ever able to find a resolution?
